Street Lighting

44nd Street Historic Lighting

The agency reimbursed streetlight expenses for Mallard Apartments and the Mystic Cove subdivision. It also partnered with ACHD to provide an enhanced pedestrian crossing, including additional lighting and signage, at the intersection of 42nd and Adams streets. These improvements have increased safety in this heavy traffic area used extensively by kids traveling to the Boys & Girls Club and Anser Charter School.

New streetlights on 42nd, 43rd, and 48th streets have improved neighborhood safety. Additional streetlights now illuminate every intersection and the midsection of each block from Veterans Parkway to Remington Street, which was a higher-crime area.
