River Front East

The current River Front East District was established in 2012 and is generally described as extending from Veterans Parkway east to the eastern city limits and from Osage Street to the Boise River, as well as 42nd Street from Adams to the Boise River. In 2012, the area was underdeveloped, limited sound growth of the city, and was a danger to public health and safety.

During the past twelve years, the Agency’s investment in infrastructure and open space preservation has contributed to the explosion of new residential development, the arrival of new businesses, and an array of activities for locals and visitors alike. The area along the river in the east end of town is now one of the busiest and most popular sections of the city.
