River Front

In the mid-1990’s, the City began utilizing urban renewal funding for projects to stabilize and strengthen Garden City’s critical public facilities. Without this tool, these much-needed improvements could not have been met for many years, and at a much higher cost to taxpayers. The work completed during the life of the River Front District, 1996-2012, poised the area for private redevelopment and economic development investment.
