Cynthia Rose

Cynthia joined Garden City Urban Renewal Agency in 2019 after working nine years with the Driggs and Victor Urban Renewal Agencies in Teton Valley. She has become committed to the value of urban renewal by witnessing each of these unique communities improve infrastructure, encourage healthy economic development, eliminate deterioration, and enhance quality of life through the Idaho Urban Renewal process. Her projects have included streetscape improvements, traffic and pedestrian flow enhancements, creating a city-center plaza, and constructing the Teton Geotourism Center.

A graduate of University of California, Berkeley (B.A. History) and California State University East Bay (M.S. Exercise Physiology), Cynthia has more than 25 years in health and wellness program management, including 17 years with the University of California, 3 years with AT&T, and many years as a personal trainer and health coach.

In her spare time she enjoys hiking, river sports, gardening, reading, quilting, and lots of time with family.

“As a newcomer to Treasure Valley, I’ve come to appreciate Garden City as a geographically small city with a BIG heart. Garden City feels like a village with the natural and cultural amenities of a much larger city.”
